Round Robins

The club schedules Round Robins for member play. Some are only during our active season, typically November 1st through the end of f April. See the individual Round Robins for there schedule. A Round Robin is different from Open Play where who you are partnered with is determined by placing paddles in the paddle holders. In a Round Robin, each participant is given a number. A chart is used to determine the player pairing for each round on each court used. For example, if there are 16 players, 4 courts are needed. For the first round players 1&2 play 3&4 on court 1, 5&6 play 7&8 on court 2 and so on. For the next round play continues but with a different partner, so 1&4 play 5&8 on court 1, 2&3 play 6&8 on court 2 and so on. Typically a total of 6 rounds are played. When there is not an even multiple of 4, different players will sit out a round.

Round robins may have criteria for play. Some round robins are for women, some for men, some mixed. Some may have specific skill level requirements and some may not. See the list of the Round Robins below. Click on a specific Round Robin to find out more about that Round Robin.
